When is the bass day at York ?
Just wondering of you have commented on the Hillsburgh Mill pond E.A. This may be the only opportunity to remove the dam and restore the cold water stream. It appears that CVC is not supporting this? We wonder why. Has your group commented to Council or the Consultant Triton engineering. The pond is currently infected with gobi fish and has an assortment of warm water species.
We will mention this at our meeting on Tuesday and I will get back to you. Thanks Lou
When is the annual Banquet?
Hi Dan,
There will be no banquet meeting this year, but we will be having the annual barbecue on Tuesday, 2nd May 2017 at Erindale Park starting at 5 pm.
Warm Regards

Hello,
How are you doing?
I always wanted to experience Fishing (Not really for eating – just catching fun type) but don’t have anyone I know who is into fishing. I really want to experience going into the water fishing. I don’t have accessories required to do all those but if there is a way I am willing to rent to experience this, I don’t know swimming either :-).
I need to network with people into this kind of activities wondering if you could provide some guidance to make friends for such activities and how to proceed. fatirhaider@gmail.com
Appreciate your help in advance.

Do you have any beginner lessons? I see your meetings are almost over for the year. Thanks.
Hi Jonah,
We are having our club barbecue at Erindale Park in the shelter, over the footbridge, on Tuesday 15th May.
The barbecue starts around 5:30, but there will be a few members there beforehand to give casting lessons. Feel free to come along and introduce yourself. Who knows, you might also get a hamburger!
Can you please send me some information on the fly fishing forum that is mentioned in your brochure that I picked up at the boat and fishing show? I cannot seem to find out any information about the date or location of this forum. Thanks.
Hi Joe,
The last forum was 4 yrs ago. Maybe in the future we can resurrect it in a different format.
Thank you. I guess that’s why I was unable to find any information. I am hoping to attend a future meeting of your club. Cheers.
Is this club still active? Woukd you take flyfishing gear on consignment? Thanks Julia
Hi Julia,
Thanks for your inquiry.
Yes, we are still a very active club.
As for consignments, we would be interested in any consignments; however, the biggest issue would be transportation of the equipment to the meetings.
There would be two options for us:
1) Have you or a designate look after getting the items to and from our meetings, or
2) Have photos and prices available online.
Cheers
David W
