At our next meeting on 20th November, Steve May will be discussing late season fishing. He adds:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am not sure what they are talking about! However, in the fall through to early winter, the fishing changes. This talk will explore these late season opportunities for species like smallmouth bass, trout, musky, panfish and steelhead. A focus on the changing conditions and effective tactics will be discussed. How to be safe and comfortable at this time of year will also be highlighted. \" [\/dropshadowbox]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\nHe will be focussing on tying and fishing European style nymphs.\n\"Euro nymphing\" is a more recent innovation of tight line nymphing. The ideas behind this form of tight line nymphing have been fine-tuned by the collective imaginations of anglers around the world, but more specifically by a select few hyper-advanced European countries.\nWe will be delving into the design of these flies, leader setups, and what to look for in related gear and exactly how to fish them with the most success.\n \n[dropshadowbox align=\"none\" effect=\"lifted-both\" width=\"auto\" height=\"\" background_color=\"#ffffff\" border_width=\"1\" border_color=\"#dddddd\" ]Chris Krysciak is a Toronto based commercial fly tyer and fly casting instructor who\u2019s flies have appeared in multiple publications and have given him the privilege of being an annual demonstration tyer at the international fly tying symposium for the last 5 years. He is also an active competitive angler, this has allowed him to train with many of Canada\u2019s best anglers as well as top-level competitors from abroad, recently Chris finished in 12th place at the Canadian Fly Fishing Championships. When he\u2019s not on the water you can find him working at Drift Outfitters & Fly Shop in Toronto, ON.[\/dropshadowbox]\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hi Everyone,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to the Fall Season Club Meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will start off at the usual time of 7:30 pm on Tuesday 18th September and will meet at the Carmen Corbasson Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will have a short official Agenda that will include voting for the Executives for the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then we may have a chance to pick up some supplies donated to the club at the end of last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will also present an 18-minute video of our trip to Lake Superior in June fishing for large Coaster Brook Trout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
