At our next meeting on 20th November, Steve May will be discussing late season fishing. He adds:

I am not sure what they are talking about! However, in the fall through to early winter, the fishing changes. This talk will explore these late season opportunities for species like smallmouth bass, trout, musky, panfish and steelhead. A focus on the changing conditions and effective tactics will be discussed. How to be safe and comfortable at this time of year will also be highlighted. ” [/dropshadowbox]

Our next meeting on Tuesday 16th October will feature one of our most intricate of fly tyers
Chris Krysciak.
He will be focussing on tying and fishing European style nymphs. “Euro nymphing” is a more recent innovation of tight line nymphing. The ideas behind this form of tight line nymphing have been fine-tuned by the collective imaginations of anglers around the world, but more specifically by a select few hyper-advanced European countries. We will be delving into the design of these flies, leader setups, and what to look for in related gear and exactly how to fish them with the most success. He is also an active competitive angler, this has allowed him to train with many of Canada’s best anglers as well as top-level competitors from abroad, recently Chris finished in 12th place at the Canadian Fly Fishing Championships. Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the Fall Season Club Meetings.
We will start off at the usual time of 7:30 pm on Tuesday 18th September and will meet at the Carmen Corbasson Center.
We will have a short official Agenda that will include voting for the Executives for the year.
Then we may have a chance to pick up some supplies donated to the club at the end of last year.
We will also present an 18-minute video of our trip to Lake Superior in June fishing for large Coaster Brook Trout.
Bring a friend.

Despite a probable rain out of the Club Bass Day, we managed to get in some rewarding bass fishing with only a smattering of rain on Sunday.

We are all smiles as we get ready for the 6th Annual Club Outing on the Grand River at Fergus Outfitting and Fly Shop on the 22nd May. Barry had the best of days catching 15 Browns:

Update 18th May 2018 Thanks to all who helped make this year’s barbecue a resounding success.
Update 3rd May 2018 At 5:30 pm, on Tuesday 15th May we will be holding our Annual Barbecue at Erindale Park.
We will provide burgers and hot dogs for club members; so come along and enjoy the fun. We will be located in the sheltered area across the footbridge. Some of us will be arriving earlier to fish the river. Bring your gear if you would like some casting tips from our member volunteers.
