The Toronto Sportsmen Show | The Spring Fishing Show
The Show Dates are Feb 6 to 9, 2014
Direct Energy Centre,
Exhibition Grounds
The Toronto Sportsmen Show (TSS) has arranged for a fly fishing oriented space featuring the casting lane, the Izaak Walton Club Booth and the ever popular Kids Tying.
Volunteering: We are now looking for some help to man and organize the club booth. Volunteers will be reimbursed $14/ 4 hours shift at the club booth or the kid’s tye, plus will be given free admission to the show for the day of their volunteer shift. We will endeavor to have a meal/snack and bottled water available to our volunteers throughout the show, so it is relatively painless for our members to support the club through volunteering this year. We have posted a schedule for volunteering; if you’re interested please contact Carl@matchthehatch.ca
Club Booth:
We have a 40 x 10 foot booth this year which will be set up as a combination of our showcase tyers club/ membership table and it will feature our DVD’s. Volunteers for the club booth will be selling memberships and taking membership renewals and sell our posters. Monitoring the DVD /TV to ensure we are featuring the skill of our guest tyers, and selling the DVD’s. Ideally we will have 2 or 3 volunteers for each shift on the schedule; if you’re interested please contact Carl@matchthehatch.ca
Kids Tying:
We will have 2 tables with 6 vises set up to encourage kids of all ages to tye. Based on the traffic patterns last year we need 2 volunteers for each shift on Thursday and Friday and 3 or 4 volunteers for the Sat and Sun shifts. We have traditionally tyed wooly worms/buggers, but last year Bruce introduced a Popsicle fly that was very popular with the repeat customers and we welcome your creativity; if you’re interested please contact Carl@matchthehatch.ca
