Second Annual Grand River Trip
June 3-4, 2014
Back by popular demand, we are again organizing an overnight fishing trip to the upper Grand River. Last year’s trip to the Fergus/Elora area was so successful that attendees suggested it become an annual event. It is a great opportunity for members to enjoy a few days of fishing and camaraderie while sharing their skills and experience.
Again this year, we have chosen a Tuesday/Wednesday in early June to beat weekend crowds and hopefully experience a Henderickson hatch. Our two days on the Grand will begin at Wilson’s Fly Shop on Tuesday morning for a meet and greet. Our host, Rob Heal, will provide a river update and answer your questions.
At the Drew House, innkeepers Roger and Kathleen are holding a block of rooms. Everyone must arrange their own accommodations (contact information is provided below). Please book early to avoid disappointment.

Rob will provide an update on river conditions, hatches, patterns, etc.

This is an opportunity for more experienced members to offer mentorship to the less experienced as we break into smaller groups and head out to the river.

Roger Dufau, a noted chef and restaurateur, will prepare our ‘not to be missed’ breakfast on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.

Suites which accommodate groups of 2-4 persons, with separate sleeping quarters, are available.
