VOLUNTEER FOR SPRING ACTIVITIES.
The Greg Clark Chapter is happy to announce that we will be holding three volunteer events this spring: one cleanup and two tree planting events at three different locations in the Upper Credit watershed. Details for each event can be found below:
1) Saturday April 15th River Cleanup.
Time: 9 a.m. to Noon
We will be conducting a cleanup of the credit river area near the Sligo Bridge at Forks of the Credit.
Location: We will be meeting at Sligo Bridge – McLaughlin Rd. The first bridge north of Grange Side Road in Caledon. (Google link here).
What to bring: Appropriate footwear, hiking shoes/boots would be best. Also bring water. We will supply gloves and light refreshments.

2) Saturday April 29th Tree Planting
Time: 9 a.m. to Noon
We will be planting 75 white cedars (3 gallon); 35 Red osier dogwood (1 gallon); 40 Silver Maples (1 gallon).
Location: Hwy 24, 2kms west of Hwy 10 past McLaren Road in Caledon. (Google link here).
Forks of the Credit Parking Lot.
What to bring: Long pants, rubber or hiking boots and a water bottle. We will supply gloves and shovels and some snacks.

3) Saturday May 6th Tree Planting
Time: 9 a.m. to Noon
We will be planting 25 silver maples (1 gallon), 90 eastern white cedar (3 gallon) and 35 Red Osier dogwoods (1 gallon).

What to bring: Hip/chest waders are mandatory for this planting since we will be crossing the river to get to the planting site (we have a very limited number of waders available please email us early if you do not have waders and would like to use one of our pairs); water bottle. We will supply gloves and shovels and some snacks.
